If I had read some of the reviews before we went I might not have tried this lovely tearoom. It is clean, spacious and the service is very good. The food is excellent. So far, we’ve had only coffee/cake/scone but next time lunch!
I went to the Wishing Well for lunch, and it was quite busy when we arrived. However, we had made a reservation so we had no trouble getting a table. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The menu had a decent selection of dishes to choose from, but the prices were higher compared to other restaurants/coffee shops we have been to. The carpet was faded and needed to be replaced. One odd rule was that you had to spend at least £15 before you could pay by card, and you couldn't leave a tip for the staff by adding it to the bill when paying by card. In today's cashless society, where most people don't carry cash, this policy was inconvenient. The scones were delicious and the coffee was good.

Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I will not be putting this place on my revisits list.
I typically do not like to leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to do so after my recent experience at this restaurant. I apologize to the staff for my abrupt reaction when receiving the bill, as I understand it is not their fault. However, whoever is responsible for setting the prices, whether it be the manager or owner, should be ashamed. I paid £10.65 for a small and average baked potato, which I found to be a shocking price. Additionally, I was charged £1.50 for a minimal amount of extra cheese. Overall, I do not plan on returning to this establishment and would suggest looking elsewhere unless you are willing to spend a significant amount of money.
