What Jigger1010 doesn't like about Dandy's Delicatessen:
This place was recommended by a friend earlier this week. I popped in to buy lunch and was met with a dull reception and response, so not off to a good start. No smile, no welcoming. Nothing. I asked for a sandwich, which was made in the back, and I was handed a greay-covered package and napkin, covered with the ingredients of my sandwich, as well as greasy fingerprints. I've been in Dandy many times and I've always enjoyed the atmosphere in this little delicatessen store. Today I was to have tea and a toasted bowl, but in the past I had soup and light meals. Food and service is always great. The couple who handles it is very friendly. Given Clarkson's competition from similar places, Dandy is my first choice.
I visited this restaurant with a friend for soup and sandwiches. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was friendly. They also have a wide variety of cakes, breads, and condiments available for purchase to take home.
In a time dominated by coffee chains and generic pastries, this cozy family-owned deli stands out as a refreshing change. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious snacks, and quality coffee make it a wonderful place to visit. Additionally, the selection of products available for purchase is excellent. Overall, it is a perfect spot to enjoy a meal or pick up some treats.
While in the area we appeared for a quick snack. The chicken and the chorizo was excellent and ha and cheeses of my wife was filled with excellent ham in fine slices. Although not soup, my wife heard an enthusiastic praise from the table next door.
A friendly spot for good coffee and cake and if you need something more their soup and filled rolls are a nice choice for a light lunch. We often take bread home and their Spelt and Honey and Sourdough loaves are a special feature.
