Tickle Toby Inn, Northallerton

Called in on a cold and wet Bank Holiday Monday and received a very warm welcome from the friendly landlady. The York brewery Guzzler was excellent. However, star of the show was the homemade mince and dumplings. The rest of the party had deep filled rolls and chips, which went down well. Well done to all concerned.

Really nice friendly pub. Excellent toasted sandwich with garnish and crisps. £4.95. Honest food, honest prices.

Canny pub, lively, good choice of drinks and home made food, good location on the main street.

First and foremost the customer service offered here was second to none, congratulations to the bar man for perfection in his level of interaction and banter. Had only originally gone in to see if they had any real ale which they did and a quick half. The smell of food was very appealing and a quick look at the menu and chat to the mar man and we were sold on food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and will certainly return if I ever find myself back in Northallerton.

Didn't stay long here but the bar tender was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. Friendly, welcoming and comfortable
