Cucina Family Style - East Quogue

Fantastic food, and Chef Gaetano is incredibly welcoming. Everything is made from scratch and served family-style. We sampled a variety of sauces, and each one was delicious in its own way. We ordered two specials for the evening: the chicken scarpiello, which was excellent. My favorite dish was the nonna's gravy with sausage, meatballs, and fresh pasta. The regular slice and grandma slice, along with the fresh garlic knots, were all very tasty. In my opinion, this is the best Italian around!

As a first-time visitor, I received a warm welcome from a friendly gentleman who seemed to be the owner. He promised us authentic homemade Italian cuisine, and he delivered! I even got to try a meatball, which was the best I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the scampi and said it was the best shrimp he's ever tasted. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! We had a fantastic family dinner at this restaurant. The family-style portions were not only generous but also incredibly delicious. The fried calamari was fresh and perfectly crispy, while the baked clams, prepared with homemade breadcrumbs, were just as delightful as the stuffed mushrooms. Each pasta dish was bursting with flavor, whether it was the Sunday sauce, Alla Vodka, or Bolognese. Don't miss the chicken cutlet parmigiana, veal Marsala, and cucina scarpariello. Chef Gaetano is truly exceptional and a wonderfully gracious host. The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you're enjoying Sunday dinner at your grandmother's house.

We ordered catering from this restaurant, which has recently changed ownership, for a group of about 20 people. The food was prepared on time, served hot, and tasted amazing! Notable dishes included the stuffed mushrooms, chicken francese, mozzarella carozza, and baked ziti. I highly recommend this place if you’re in need of fantastic Italian food for a larger gathering!
