Contribute FeedbackRothmann's, a longstanding steakhouse in America, falls short when it comes to quality service and overpriced menu items, according to several patrons. While some found the food to be tasty but not exceptional, others were disappointed with dishes not cooked to their liking. Complaints range from lukewarm meals to uncomfortable seating arrangements, with some recommending nearby Perry's Steakhouse for a better dining experience. On the other hand, some diners had a wonderful time celebrating special occasions at Rothmann's, praising the delicious food and excellent service. Overall, while opinions vary, Rothmann's may be worth a visit for those looking for a steak-centric dining experience.
I am only giving one star because I arrived with my colleagues at 8:50pm yesterday and despite the online operating hours being from 5-10pm, we were turned away by a busboy who said the restaurant was closed. Surprisingly, there was no manager or hostess available to speak to, only a busboy. I have been coming to Rothmans since I was a child and was shocked by this experience. We ended up going to Prime in Huntington where we had a delicious meal and were able to stay a half hour past their stated closing time along with several other tables. Thumbs up to Prime, but thumbs down to Rothmans.
The service at this restaurant is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who make sure you have everything you need. The atmosphere, however, could use some improvement as it lacks a bit of charm and coziness. Overall, a great place for a meal thanks to the excellent service.
My wife and I went to Rothman's Steakhouse last night and were disappointed with our meal. After over 25 years of dining here, we found the steak and lobster tail to be very small and barely edible. The steak looked greyish and tasted like it had been frozen for months. The Ribeye was only half an inch thick, despite the waiter saying it would be thicker. We had a bottle of Pellegrino, a bit of spinach, and shared a salad, yet our bill was $274. We were surprised at the high cost, especially since we did not have coffee or dessert. The quality of the meal did not match the price we paid. We dine out frequently and have never spent this much unless we had multiple drinks and desserts. The quality of the steak has declined over the years, making it half the size it used to be and twice the price. We were disappointed and felt there was no value in our meal. We may consider cooking our own steak at home instead of dining at Rothman's in the future. Upon returning to Rothman's with friends, we found the steak to be better and larger. However, we were surprised that the owners do not respond to reviews. As a business owner myself, I believe in addressing customer concerns promptly. It is important for businesses to value their customers and make things right when needed.
