I visited a quaint local village pub with a simple atmosphere and a strong sense of community. While on a visit to New Zealand, I decided to order my first English pub drink in 4 years from this charming establishment. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Ship Inn:
I would like to say that because the young lady who served me was pleasant the experience was at least OK, but the surly attitude of the remainder behind the bar was very unwelcoming. Can't comment on the food as I was put off ordering any, but punters outside seemed to be enjoying themselves. View all feedback.
Popped in twice whilst at the Oundle Vintage Festival. Several real ales on tap, which were excellent. Old village pub atmosphere with a large garden area and a small dance floor inside the pub if you're having a party.
Menu is limited but the food itself is excellent and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Awful and run down, at 0430 in the morning a member of staff opened our door and was drunk and tried to get in. Steer well clear of this place
It was a nice meal, lovely fruendly service and good drinks. We were allowed to stay and chat wuthout being pressured to go. Worth a visit and try the chilli.
Such a brilliant friendly pub. Excellent food will return I'm sure
