Unfortunately, they were unable to serve us lunch despite our call in advance to let them know we were a party of seven, so we can't provide any feedback on the food. View all feedback.
Food is good honest fair. Lovely village setting nice to see a pub as a pub.
We booked on a Saturday for Sunday lunch the next day, unfortunately, the ovens had been down for most of the week but we were not told about this. The rest of the menu in my humble opinion was not up to scratch we ended up with penniese(not good)also the ales on offer for a country pub were poor (we have some great local ales in Hampshire)there was also a large party of people complaining about the lack of communication are Sunday Roast. It was a great shame as the staff were friendly however we will not be going back.
Very lovely and friendly pub in the middle of the countryside. As soon as we walked into the pub we were greated with a very warm welcome from the landlord David. Prices were very reasonable compared to other pubs in the area. This was our first visit to the pub but we will be back again very soon. If you are looking for a a friendly pub where you get a warm welcome from both the staff and the customers then this is the place to go. Good selection of drinks.
We may live a while away but we feel like this pub is our local. The staff have always been lovely and knowledgeable regarding the local ales and ciders. This past visit we had some of their homemade cakes which were delicious.
Camping weekend with a gentle 2 mile walk to the pub, then a leisurely pub lunch.Great food and a lovely warm welcome.
