What travellerfoodie65 doesn't like about The Massingberd Arms:
we were served Tetley's from a pump marked Massingberd Ale, then a very poor Sunday Lunch which was a disappointment as we have enjoyed several Sunday roasts there in the past. View all feedback.
Proper Pub lovely roaring fire, great wine and good selection of beers Very friendly staff and other people in the pub Great location and ideal for walkers or cyclists
We have started to visit this pub again after a few years, It hasn’t changed at all, good variation of pub food favourites plus homemade puddings. Good selection of hand pumped beers.
Hubby and I came for dinner. Welcomed in on our arrival. Good selection of beer, wine and gin. Majority of menu homemade. I had Grimsby fish, chips and mushy peas. Hubby had steak pie, chips and peas. Cash only. Can recommend.
This charming country pub serves up good food and fantastic beer. It's a local favorite, so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We love coming here for Sunday lunch, but make sure to book a few days in advance. The fact that it's always busy is a good indicator of its quality.
I had to make a reservation well in advance, but it was definitely worth it. The food was excellent and served promptly. The prices were very reasonable as well. My only complaint is that there is no parking lot available.
