We only drove 7 months ago into the opposite, finally we were able to feed here for the first time at this weekend. that was waiting for us from the warm, hospitable greeting, the beautiful feeling of pub service given us....Our eating was one of the best meal times we have enjoyed for a long time from this reason this very special place will become our favorite place. we are already booked to go back

What an amazing village pub this is. Very friendly staff led by Richie. The food is well cooked and presented. The Sunday lunch for non meat eaters comes in the form of a “Gaynor Special” named after one of the locals this involves all the...usual Sunday lunch bits, but the meat is replaced by a jug of cheese sauce that can be smothered all over the freshly prepared vegetables. Very satisfying. The pub is very dog friendly and the landlady is one of the four legged varieties herself!!! Just love this place. Thank you all for our enjoyable Sunday lunches.

We visited the Red Lion a few weeks ago to check out suitability for having a special birthday meal for my mum-impressed, we re-booked for a party of 8 in August-again, excellent food, choice of drinks and real ales, service, cleanliness and well worth going...out of your way to visit this venue. Dogs are very welcome and those that were in on our visit were well behaved-everywhere so clean and fresh for a traditional pub-one of the best we have been in and it was clear to see the premises are well looked after. We will definitely be returning when next in the area, thank you team at Red Lion for giving a memorable birthday occasion.

We are house hunting in the area so called in for an evening meal. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely, clean premises. We both enjoyed the food very much. I chose the Celeriac dish which was gorgeous.

A wonderful welcome from the owner and staff were super efficient and attentive. Saw the food advertisement on Facebook and thought it was well staged but it actually came to the table looking just like the photos (you can’t say that about many establishments) Great...range of beer and ales plus local produce and even some beer and local Gin to be found in a great selection in their gin bar. Plenty of outside space to meet up with friends and family and beautiful decoration throughout every room. Being dog friendly means you don’t have to leave them at home and can stay out longer without worry. A separate dog menu is available and even the options to pre order pup cakes for their birthday or celebration. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone as the menu also caters for vegetarians and vegans with gluten free options though when booking I would still inform the team so they are aware of any dietary requirements (it’s polite and will make sure all your group are satisfied) Such a gem to find a pub with passion for guests
