Altho my fish chips and mushy peas were nice and hot my friend had the pie, we asked if it was homemade, it didn’t appear to us to be homemade, altho hot more like a pukka pie, poor filling and the plate was a wash with thick gravy.

Arrived for breakfast. Menu was a little pricey compared to other cafes. I asked if they could do poached egg on toast instead of fried or scrambled, one chef said yes, the head chef then said no. My partner had the large breakfast abs and if he could have toast instead of the fried bread, we were informed they couldn't swap the fried bread for toast but they could take it off and swap it for a sausage?! We could order toast on the side though! We asked if the toast could not be cut into triangles as it makes it difficult to make a butty the toast came in triangles. They did bring an extra slice of toast after all the problems we had. Cash only, made a lot of customers leave too. Unfortunately, we won't be attending again.

Out with my 78 yr old mum. Tried to go to other fish and chip restaurants but they were seriously overpriced and like sitting in an arcade. Found this place. The staff were great. We both ate for half the price of the other places. I’m guessing the ones moaning are middle class hipsters who don’t get working class food places.

Absolutely disgusting! Food was extremely overpriced with small portions. No facilities for disabled. Had to walk up an absurd amount of stairs to get to the toilet. When I told the staff about my problems they laughed and had no sympathy for me. I will never return here again and I would not advise anyone else to.
