What User likes about Wrights Fish And Chips:
we have used this takeaway for years because the fish is always of good quality. the chips are ok and the service is usually fast and polite. a recurring disadvantage is that they only take cash and no credit cards. we are all so used to use cards for every small purchase as the pandemic, it would be helpful if they accepted them. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was fine and the chips were okay. However, the fishcake I ordered for my child was cold in the middle and overcooked on the outside, so I didn't feel comfortable serving it to him. The saveloy for my father was also cold. Overall, the quality of the food has really deteriorated. View all feedback.

Really excellent fish and chips: fresh and well cooked. Perfect for eating in the park after a walk along the towpath from Hertford.

read moreWright's Fish and Chips has long been a staple for fish lovers, showcasing moments of culinary brilliance alongside recent struggles with quality. While many cherished past experiences highlight perfectly cooked, flaky fish and crispy, savory chips, there are growing concerns about inconsistency. Reports of overcooked fish, heavy batter, and cold dishes tarnish their once-sterling reputation. However, a resurgence post-COVID has rekindled hope among loyal patrons, who rave about generous portions and improved flavors. Despite some lingering issues and long queues, the restaurant remains a beloved destination, particularly with enticing Tuesday deals that keep customers returning.

It is what it says on the tin… Fish Chips. The food is tasty enough and the place has some lovely and charming ladies to sort your order.
Chips fine but sausage was unbattered even though requested battered. Dissapointed A’s wasn’t very busy when ordered
