While many patrons rave about the delicious bacon sandwiches, exceptional sourdough, and satisfying lattes, others have expressed disappointment with inconsistent pastry quality, particularly greasy cinnamon buns and underwhelming cakes. The inviting atmosphere and cheerful staff enhance the experience, yet service efficiency remains a concern for some. Overall, Crumbs Bakery shows promise, but improving product consistency could elevate its reputation to match its charming ambiance.
The service was lacking at this restaurant. The staff appeared to be preoccupied with chatting, giving off the impression that my presence was an inconvenience. I did not receive a warm welcome.
I discovered a gem in Watton At Stone! My husband and I visited Crumbs every morning during our 3-day stay and were delighted with the experience. My husband couldn't get enough of the bacon sandwiches, while I thoroughly enjoyed the lattes. We also purchased fresh bread from Crumbs, and the sourdough was truly exceptional. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and contributed greatly to the wonderful atmosphere of the place.
This café/bakery is extremely inviting, with all dishes expertly crafted and presented beautifully. The staff greets you warmly, always with a friendly smile.
Third time I’ve visited crumbs as it’s my local bakery. First time the iced coffee I had was lovely but the cinnamon bun was stale but I chalked that up to it being rather late in the day. Second time the cinnamon bun was again stale and the croissant was cold and sticky like it hadn’t cooked properly, but again it was late in the day so I thought maybe I just got a bad one. Third time I went first thing in the morning when they were bound to have fresh baked items. The pan aux raisin was like eating raw dough and the amount of oil/grease dripping from it was so off putting I ended up binning it. The paper bag literally went see through from the amount of oil. The cinnamon roll was also very oily/greasy and tasted just like the pan aux raisin except with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. The location is amazing the staff are lovely but the products being sold are poor to say the least. I’ve not put a review before this but after 3 times visiting there has to be a problem with your bakers/recipes.
We are newbies to crumbs, but we were not disappointed!! Delicious, taste the freshness, sandwiches great tasting carrot cake… what more can you ask for! See you again soon!!!
