Lemongrass - East Hampshire

I was extremely disappointed with the takeout service we received and the subsequent poor customer service. After a 15-20 minute drive home, we discovered that the restaurant had given us chicken dishes instead of the vegetarian meals we had ordered. We tried calling the restaurant numerous times to resolve the issue before returning, but no one answered after over 100 calls. We drove back to the restaurant with the incorrect and cold food to request a refund. The staff did not apologize and insisted that we must have ordered chicken. They were only willing to remake one dish, despite the entire order being cold. As vegetarians, we would never have ordered chicken and were frustrated by the lack of accountability. After receiving a refund, we left without any food and had to find another place to eat, as the whole ordeal took over an hour from ordering to refund. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience and we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to others.

The set menu was fantastic, with friendly and prompt service. The decor was lovely and we were able to find parking outside. The food was fresh and delicious, particularly the Thai green curry and sweet and sour chicken. We ended up overeating because everything was just so good.

Today, my husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch, as we had been regular customers for many years before the current owners took over. Sadly, the food was poorly cooked and unappetizing, causing us to leave after only eating half of our meal. We do not plan on returning as long as the current owners are in charge.

This place has been taken over by new owners and went through a shaky patch but all seems to be well again thank goodness. The takeaway was delicious.

We visited Lemon Grass for a Saturday lunch. The food was great as always, it was a little quite, which was fine as we could a nice chat over a nice lunch.
