What User doesn't like about Higher Grounds At 32 Main:
Made us wait outside to order coffee. It took almost 30 minutes, standing outside like a chum waiting for my coffee. The coffee was horrible, it wasn’t a latte, like I ordered. It was just drip coffee with milk and way too much syrup. The inside looked cute and cozy but they didn’t let us stay and order cofffee, I think it was really rude to make us wait outside for so long. Food: 1 View all feedback.

I spent 4hrs working at HG one hot muggy afternoon. Great place. AC in the window chugging away, kept me (I was only person there) cool. Super small, comfy, quirky, reliable wifi and the coffee was excellent. Obvious the folks here take great care about it. Big mug too, nice and hot; not the cheap paper cup with plastic lid. Upstairs is antique/museum thing. Coffee is a tad expensive at $3.75 but inline with everything else in this town (and this very pretty region of the country...like living in a national park). WC (single) in the back. Parking easy, just off Main St, 200m from the theatre and bridge, beside post office and library (across the street from 200+ yr-old cemetery, where all the local original family names are there...worth a short walk around itself).
The worst breakfast food I’ve ever had. Dry, tasteless, unseasoned. Higher Grounds is at best, a less than mediocre coffee shop masquerading as a premium culinary experience. The only thing “higher”, or premium at Higher Grounds are its higher prices which are vastly disjointed from the quality of the food and coffee.
Breakfast burrito is supposed to come with a spicy salsa, the salsa was just chopped tomato, onion, and green pepper with zero seasoning at all. Home fries are just barely cooked, not crispy at all and hardly seasoned. Coffee was okay, I wouldn’t say it’s any better than Dunkin’ Donuts quality. All of the above complaints would be fine if it weren’t so expensive, it isn’t worth the price at all. Workers however were very kind on the phone and when getting our order.
