The hotel is lovely with friendly staff who are always ready to assist. A special mention goes to the Recreation Manager who went out of their way to ensure the kids club could continue running until the end of summer. The hotel offers a good variety of activities, but there are some areas that could use improvement. The rooms, while clean and well-maintained, show their age and would benefit from an update or remodel. The game room lacks offerings and could be improved. In terms of guest experience, more activities such as Zumba, gym, and sports lessons could be added to make the daily programming more exciting. The restaurant prices are quite high, and the rooms could provide more amenities for cooking, such as additional space, plates, and silverware.
Transport yourself back in time with delicious food at this restaurant. The breakfast options are fantastic.
I chose Madden’s after doing some research on Tripadvisor and I am very happy that I did. I traveled to Madden’s with my elderly in-laws and young kids (4 and 8 years old) and there was something for everyone. The golf course was wonderful, especially the “Social 9” which is a great option for beginners and new golfers (especially kids). Our family of four really enjoyed the recreational pass over our six-day stay and I would recommend this option for those planning to stay on the property for several days. For $100, we had access to lawn games, water toys, yoga classes, and more. The restaurants had a great selection of beer and wine and the food was tastier than some of the restaurants we visited off the property. We did not choose the all-inclusive option but would recommend it based on the delicious meals. Our family stayed in a Mission Point cottage and loved the proximity to the amenities and the privacy. The rooms were a bit dated but the perfect size and well-equipped. The housekeeping staff was very attentive and thorough, a sign of a well-managed property. We enrolled our kids in Adventure Cove, the kids camp, and they had a great time. It was a bit pricey but they were fed and came home happy and tired. What more could you ask for? We would definitely visit Madden’s again and would not hesitate to recommend it to our closest family and friends.
My extended family gets together every 4th of July. This was our first year at Maddens. AMAZING. We encountered professional, friendly staff from the top down. Truly like a family there. Besides the staff the grounds are beautiful and there are so many activities for people of all ages. A special shout out to Suzanne who went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of my family.
My boys and I attended the Father/Son golf tournament in May and stayed in one of the cottages on Mission Point. We had an amazing stay. We did have one slight hiccup which Taylor addressed and rectified for us with great care. We can’t wait for what will become an annual golf event for our family at Maddens. -Andrew Sullivan Travel Consultant AAA Minneapolis
