Sarah, who was working in the deli, was a delight. She had a positive attitude and was very pleasant.

This small town grocery store is the epitome of wholesome. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet me when I walk in. They even remember me and ask about my day. The groceries are consistently fresh, and their garden and flower section is truly impressive.

I recently visited Hugo's in EGF, MN and had a disappointing experience. The managers seemed aloof, arrogant, and unapproachable, leaving me feeling like my concerns wouldn't be taken seriously if I had any complaints. While many customers seem to be happy with everything in the store, there may be others who feel uncomfortable or disrespected but are hesitant to voice their opinions on social media. To improve customer service, I suggest providing alternative options for feedback, such as comment cards or speaking to a manager. Additionally, for those who struggle with face-to-face interaction, I recommend considering home delivery services offered by stores like Walmart+ or Target. Ultimately, in order to be treated with dignity and respect, customers may need to be willing to inconvenience themselves a little. Unfortunately, the grocery industry can be image-conscious and may not always prioritize the concerns of certain individuals.

Your prices are way too high and the service is terrible.

We did our wedding cake through Hugo's (as well as donut holes for our reception) in December of 2022 and we were very pleased with what they provided! The cake was beautifully designed to how we had imagined it (we showed them two different pictures of cakes on Pinterest and wanted them to blend the characteristics to create our cake) and it tasted great too (it was moist and flavorful)! We still have people talking about our donut holes, they were delicious (we did not have many left over). The customer service was very friendly as well and the food price was reasonable and affordable which was something that mattered a lot to us.
