We stayed at Mountain Pine our first two days at Glacier Park. What a great little place! The property was well maintained, attractive, and inviting. The room was clean (no carpet! , the beds extremely comfortable, and the owners were very nice. It was a great location...close to the park and close to restaurants. I was cycling through the countryside and decided to take a break in East Glacier after riding along Sonnenstraße. This place turned out to be ideal for a relaxing evening and a wonderful day off! It was impeccably clean, and the owners were fantastic— I wished I could have stayed longer. The laundry service, general store, and restaurant are all within a short walk from the property. This area has a more authentic vibe, making it a highlight of my trip. Thank you!
Ryan is the best hotel host ever! This place was such a delightful surprise. We only stayed here for one night at the end of the season, but Ryan was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. I can't wait to stay here again next time. The property itself is well-maintained and beautifully cared for. Our room was spotlessly clean, the shower functioned perfectly, and the bed was extremely comfortable—definitely the best night’s sleep of our trip. The room was spacious, providing ample seating around the table and easy access to the refrigerator and freezer. Since we visited late in the season, we missed out on the picnic area, but I look forward to enjoying that on our next visit to take full advantage of this lovely property.
Thank you, thank you. What a great place! With love updated and operated by the grandson of the previous owners. They took the original footprint and updated, but held the character of the rooms. It was secret, but cool, clean and comfortable. Then there was hospitality. We took all the recommendations of the host and were never disappointed. Even after reading many books and blogs about Glacier, we found the host as the most helpful. He led us to two days of unforgettable hikes. Then he needed fuel and sent us to great restaurants. Freshly ground coffee for brewery in our room was the better than our coffee at home!
We went for a night on a month long road trip. This is a simple old-fashioned motel, but Ryan, the owner, makes it better than others with old-fashioned hospitality. The room was small, but we expected that. The refrigerator had a real freezer, so we could freeze the ice bottles in our cooler. The glasses were glass; the coffee cup ceramic. The coffee is a rechargeable filter drip unit, with real coffee, not pods. A table with two chairs made dinner and Scrabble easy. Many motels just give you a chair! Most importantly, Ryan hit a visit to a part of the Glacier Park that was NOT on our trip. We followed his advice and saw Moose, Bighorn sheep and a mother and two cub grizzly bears. I hung photos of moose and bears, as they were much more interesting than a photo of the motel. We are one of the last wearing masks for Kovid. When Ryan saw us masked when we approached the door, he immediately took one for himself. Better than expected. The only negative was that we used two queens, as there are no king-bed rooms, and a queen is a little bit crappy for us, as we have grown more territorially over time.
