Soft Sands Cafe - East Geelong

Just had a birthday lunch at this cafe, and really enjoyed the food and coffee. We had Eggs Florentine, and Turkey Open Stack on Rye Bread. Delicious, and highly recommended. Great customer service. Quick delivery on food and coffee.

Not bad . Average food is ok , coffee is ok , clean and tidy , service and they have polite staff . This cafe is easy to get to csuse you can walk from eastern beach or off the train head right into the central shopping centre Westfield ..

Asked for two freshly boiled eggs for sandwiches ... Wait for 5 min... Fine... Waited 10 min young girl POURED egg on to sandwich egg white and yolk made bread soggy.. I complained and said sorry we can't eat that.... Anyway a lot of justifying went on and I accepted none of it, not good enough to feel it was okay to serve that up to a customer.... Never again...lost me !!!!

Didn't notice this places existence tucked into the corner of Westfields food-court for years but glad I did. I now know it's a popular place to grab coffee (which I don't drink so can't comment on!) but I've eaten here half a dozen times or more and always really enjoyed whatever I've ordered.Love the lasagna, which comes with an amazing side salad which I've since tried to replicate and have multiple times a week at home. Breakfast options are vast and If you're looking for something simple the raisin toast is great, and the toasted sandwiches offer a lot of variety.Prices are reasonable (Especially so for smaller meals like toasties) and the staff are really friendly. They also do waited table service which is nice. The seating area is roomy which is well appreciated as it doesn't feel cramped.

Cant' stand mall eateries - they are like the noisy trough. Have eaten at Soft Sands in Westfield Geelong more than half a dozen times now. Never ever been disappointed. You find a table, some eone comes to take your order within 5 min, your food is served quickly, and always pleasant and with a smile. Food quality is exceptional for a coffee place in a mall. i.e. with my croissant comes a little side salad all for $8.50. Fish and chips also comes with the side salad. Plus a nice dessert cabinet, and roast of the day. A favourite of ours in Geelong.
