The Flemings - East Dunbartonshire

I will not be returning to this restaurant. I came back after a long break due to previously poor service, only to discover that nothing had improved. I waited for over an hour for my food before ultimately deciding to cancel my order and leave.

Staff were lovely and the cream tea was lovely, very fresh and good variety, more tea is requested, not a problem. Could not eat all the cakes and a carry out bag was supplied with no issues.

Good menu options for the evening, and reliable service. Had breakfast twice, food was again great but service a bit more hit miss.

We had a birthday dinner for my wife combined with an overnight stay at the hotel. The food was very good, however the portions were ridiculously small I had the prawn cocktail £8) which consisted of a small glass of salad with sauce and two prawns an some tiny pieces of crayfish. When I mentioned it to the waitress, I was told that the main courses were much more substancial. Obviously, she didn't realis that I had ordered the beef shin £19) which was a tiny amount of beef. Admittedly the waitress who removed these dinner plates said that it was small and she would pass the comment on to the head chef. In general, the staff were very good, as were the staff at breakfast the next morning.

Food amazing good quality and portion size staff very attentive and friendly, service time was great .
