What Archie Smith doesn't like about Avon Heath:
eating in seasons caffe is very overpriced for what it is. the surrounding avonheath play area for the children is the first class, however, the caffe is not great. View all feedback.
Great place for families or anyone who loves a walk. it is free, but the parking is subject to charge. we were there for sbout 4 hours and it cost 6 pfund. different lengths, most of them good for a pram, except when muddy. small coffee place/café and ice for sale. recently refurbished wooden game equipment good for a wide age class as well as a sand pit with hidden fossils' and one of these floor level trampoline

Car park right next to play area and large cafe. Plenty of benches and a toilet block. Really lovely country park with a large play area with great design, not the usual boring generic set up in most parks. We arrived about 10 and it was quiet. After a play we went for a walk to see the cows. There's an enclosure with sand lizards in which was interesting. We found a lovely viewpoint looking over the heathland which was beautiful. We never found the cows we didn't walk far enough, but the walk was lovely. By the time we got back to the park area it was 12 and very busy but still plenty on benches and off went my son again to find new friends to play with while we had a much deserved cold drink from the cafe.
We had a group BBQ meet up here end September. Good venue for outdoor meet up hiring the BBQ. Loads for all to do including sensory with chimes, funny mirrors etc. Well looked after grounds, woods, cafe and toilets. Paying car park.
What a lovely little country park. Nice walking trails, it was a bit muddy on the day that I went but it didn't spoil the adventure. Nice little centre with information about the local wildlife, fun activities for the children. Plenty of picnic tables, it was busy when we were there as it was half term and a sunny day (after a long spell of cold and/or wet weather) but there was adequate seating. Great park for the kids to play on, all on soft ground. A whole day of fun. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, 2 children aged 5 and 8.
