we decided here to lunch because it was not too busy and the menu was in line with our needs. the barmann (who was a martin compston lookalike) was very friendly as the renter. it was warm enough to feed outside and we enjoyed our meal. very much. can recommend. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Beach:
Very poor standard of food. Expensive for what it is. The goats cheese tart was a bought in pastry case filled with store bought chutney with a slice of goats cheese in the middle ,it was not a tart.. Inedible. When asked how our meal...was I explained I wasn’t expecting what I received. This was refunded from my meal but I was made to feel uncomfortable and the atmosphere after was awful. Enjoyed a spontaneous dinner with friends, the service from Maisie her team throughout was excellent, very friendly, recommend the Steaks, perfectly cooked accommodated my different (fussy) choice of sides, best onion rings I’ve tasted! Great atmosphere would definitely dine here again
My friend and I, really enjoyed our evening at the Beach. Lovely, fresh uncomplicated pub food. Attentive and efficient service. Superb choices of gin and to top it all they are dog friendly! Can’t recommend them enough
I hired out the function room on a Saturday night for my partners surprise birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for Maisie and her staff. It was Maisie’s first weekend with functions since taking over the pub and we couldn’t of been more looked...after and accommodated for. Everything was stress free and family and friends had such a good time. Highly recommended and I will happily hire out the function room for future events.
We found the beach great for a good meal, service is good as their prices are. this is a place where we will definitely go back when in the opposite.
