Sunday morning breakfast. Lovely sunny day so we sat outside. There were a fair few tables free outside. We were served swiftly and our coffees arrived. Sadly they weren’t really cortados, more like espresso and Luke warm. Breakfast took a while to come. They do say a 30 minute wait at busy times. It didn’t seem that busy and it was longer than that. This restaurant has a food hygiene rating of 2, which is displayed for all customers to see. This is not a good rating at all. It is quite shocking and suggests that the kitchen is not very clean. A rating of 2 out of 5 is definitely cause for concern. View all feedback.
Had lunch here yesterday with my Mum, daughter and grand-daughter. A lovely little cafe and nice food. Will definately visit again.
In a world where customers are just numbers for most businesses, franklins definitely pay attention to their customers and provide an excellent service. We love the full English breakfast here... very friendly staff. They also cater to gluten free and vegetarian diet. Definitely recommend...if you're in Exmouth :

First time we've been there. Part of a celebration brunch for a group. Service was friendly and prompt. Menu had lots of choices and food was excellent. Great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
Food on hot plates all of the meal hot, staff friendly and helpful everything you want excellent.
