Trip to Exmouth for brisk walk along the front, no plans. Saw Aby's appeared reasonably quiet in their conservatory so decided to pop in for (yet another) lunch. Husband had cod and chips (one of his faves from Aby's). I thought to try something I've not had there before so tried the Ibizan chicken. We popped in here while out for a walk on the sea front in Exmouth, there is seating both inside and outside but dogs are not allowed inside. We only had drinks but the food and cakes looked really nice. For just drinks you order at the counter but they do offer waitress service if you are having food. A gem of a find, all staff are lovely friendly and there is a wide choice of good value food. Would definitely recommend

Smashing cod, chips and mushy peas. But it was the service that was stand out. People were advised how long the wait for food would be, rather than being left waiting regardless. And we were not only advised to move inside (to avoid the seagulls) but assisted with the move of our drinks etc. The server deserved every penny of our tip.
We had a fantastic lunch. Food was hot with a decent portion. There is plenty of choice..! Staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere. Beers and wines available too. We like the fact that dogs are not allowed inside but very welcome in the outside seating area. Also, smoking is not allowed in either section which is good. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or snacks. Take away available.
Visited today for lunch with my family including my 2 year old granddaughter. The staff were all lovely and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a variety of dishes and they were all very good, really good portion size and great little...
