Amazing drinks and food! Highly recommend the starburst or Swedish fish martini! Love the atmosphere in here. Great decorations, not to mention an amazing place to have a small or large event. View all feedback.
What Vivian G doesn't like about Mockingbird:
The night of the event started out horribly, due to Frank. He was so unprofessional and rude. We had guest waiting out in their cars, he wouldn't let anyone... I mean anyone in, not even the dj to set up the equipment. I felt so bad for the hosts of the party they were so embarrassed. The staff did amazing in on the decor setup. I also felt that the serving of the food should be a little more considering of the perso... View all feedback.
Decided to splurge and go out to dinner at the Mockingbird Restaurant. Very disappointed. Ordered steak tips medium; received small medallions that are not tips, they were very dry. Hubby got baked Schrod with mashies and veggies; bland on all 3! Schrod had breadcrumb topping with no flavor, mashed potatoes that were served Room temp and waaay over blended that they would fall off your fork, veggies were steamed only, no butter or seasoning. Very slow service, but maybe they expect you to sit for an hour and a half and chit chat. $51 plus tip, waste of money.
I wouldn’t recommend going here for dinner. You’ll feel rushed and stressed out, and the server seems just as frazzled. While the martinis are quite tasty, you won’t be able to savor them. Save your money on appetizers and definitely skip dessert—trust me, it’s not worth it! I spent $30 on a mediocre meal, and aside from the sautéed dishes, there wasn’t much worth trying. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I dined outdoors under a tent on a Thursday evening. The setting was lovely, which was the highlight of our experience. Unfortunately, the meal did not live up to the ambiance. The filet mignon was disappointing—I'm not even sure it was a true filet mignon. It was the worst cut of meat I've ever encountered, accompanied by an unpleasant, foul odor that was reminiscent of spoiled meat. That smell stuck with us for two days and even clung to our clothes. On a brighter note, the pizza was quite good, though I consider it average for most restaurants. At least they had the decency to remove the filet from our bill. I appreciate their efforts during these challenging pandemic times, but overall, it was a significant letdown.
However, while everyone else was being served, we were left waiting for our food. I ordered another drink, thinking it might help pass the time, but still no food arrived. Eventually, we decided to leave and paid for our drinks. In summary, the drinks were great, but I can't comment on the food since we never got any. The service was absolutely the worst. I guess the bartender was trying to manage both the bar and the tables, and it didn't work out well. We won't be going back again.
I would have given this restaurant a 5-star rating, but the manager spoiled the experience. She was quite rude, lacked professionalism, and her attire did not meet expectations. It's a shame because I had been considering this place for my company’s Christmas party, but that’s no longer an option.
