Been using Unversal for 20+ years. Loved the chicken noodle soup followed by chicken fried rice but the chips were disgusting, tasted as they had been left over from the day before and reheated numerous times. Very disappointed. Not sure if I will be back in a hurry. View all feedback.
Regularly use this place. Probably more than i should... Food's always fresh and tasty. Can be pricey.
The Universal is a beloved establishment in Darvel. My family, spanning three generations, has always had excellent meals here and have never been disappointed.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for approximately 20 years. The meals, no matter what you order, are always delicious and come in generous portions at reasonable prices. The prices are competitive and the owner, Alan, is friendly and well-known in the town.
