Grazes - East Ayrshire

Grazes Restaurant is no longer there it is now a Garden Centre with no eating facilities at all I would advise removing it from your list

I have had lunch and dinner on various occasions . Food is fresh and cakes and coffee very nice. No views but nice and cosy. Prices a little high for the cakes but overall a nice stop on the way to glasgow.

This unusual building sits on the site of an old garage just outside the hamlet locally known as 'The Den '. The name of the business is a pun on the 'Grays ' family who built it and once ran it. It is a very convenient place to stop off for a snack or meal on your way to Glasgow or Irvine. It is a well placed venue to meet up with friends, guests, or business colleagues. Plenty of parking spaces and a single dining area in the 'rotunda ', supplemented by a coffee bar that has a good view of the countryside and the main road. A wide selection of food and other locally made gifts are for sale and as it happens a Farm Shop is located nearby if you fancy more Ayrshire 'goodies '. Excellent lunchtime bargain meals and specials are available. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. A wide range of local baking is displayed. Visitors can take advantage of a wide range of tourist leaflets and newspapers are provided.

The bar lunch at this restaurant is fantastic, with a great selection. I would love to see later opening hours. It is conveniently located just around the corner from my horse stables.

Disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was not fresh, but instead frozen and served at high prices. Although the dishes were hot, it was clear they had gone straight from the freezer to the table.
