What Nick B dislikes about Knotty Pine:
It’s a nice restaurant, but it can be pricey. If you're willing to spend, I recommend giving it a try. Otherwise, you might want to save your money and just enjoy some beer at home from Jewel. View all feedback.
Fantastic! I know the owner and their family, and they are wonderful and friendly people.
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The steak was a bit tough, but overall delicious. Perhaps a better cut would enhance the experience!
It’s tough to rate this place. On one hand, they have cold beer and truly delicious, well-prepared pub food. The Tater Tots, curly fries, ribeye sandwich, and burgers were all spot on. The waitress was very sweet as well. On a Sunday afternoon, the bar had a lively crowd, but the atmosphere was quite vulgar. There was a lot of disrespectful chatter about women, and unfortunately, the bartender didn’t intervene. Even when it involved her own body in the conversation, she only seemed to make light of it. I definitely wouldn't bring children or my mother here. While the food was definitely worth the visit, I'm not sure I'll return. We ended up here because the Beaver Den was closed for lunch on Sundays, which was disappointing. The food is great, but the atmosphere leaves much to be desired.
Small bar in Earlville, IL. I am guessing that the locals dont come here for food on the weekdays. Came in at 6:00 pm on a Wednesday and we were the only people eating... everyone else was drinking at the bar. The lights over the tables were even off when we first arrived. It seems like no one eats there. We ordered and didnt get the food for nearly 45 minutes . We later found out that the grill was not turned on and it had to heat up before they could cook the food. Overall, it seems like a bar for drinking not eating. The other thing that I didnt like was the other people at the bar. The place seems to draw a rough crowd. Every other word was the f word or the n word. Not a place where you would take your parents.
