Great hotel. Stayed there for 3 nights for a quick London trip. The proximity to Waterloo station made it super easy to travel everywhere by subway. Our room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff service was very accommodating. Would definitely come back next time. View all feedback.
What Robert3856 doesn't like about Carluccios Waterloo:
Went into Carluccio’s for a quick bite. I asked for the Panettone which is on the breakfast menu which is delicious. I asked if it could be straight and not toasted as it is on the menu) toasted kills the flavour). . I got presented with this mini Panettone complete in its plastic wrapping. I go to various Carluccio’s regularly and when I ask for the Panettone I have NEVER been given it in its plastic wrapping before... View all feedback.
Didn’t get to check in even at the check in time. Check in starts at 3p. Receptionist was stating “wait whole rooms is being clean and come back at 4:30p”
The hotel was close to the Waterloo station so easy connections to the underground and the National Rail. Front Desk and restaurant staff were all very good. We ate the complimentary breakfast and also had dinner there a couple of times. Breakfast was free so can't complain too much about the cold eggs (even when just brought out to the buffet), but our dinners were tasty. The room was dated in that there were no USBs connections for our multiple phones and the ceiling looked like it was about to fall in. Shower pressure was good; the pullout bed for the third person was awful, but our stay was short so it was tolerated.
Ideal for a visit to London. Room small but clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast good sufficient. Excellent location. Bus stop right next to the hotel. Waterloo subway can be reached in 3 5 minutes on foot. Many pubs, restaurants and shopping opportunities in the immediate vicinity. London Eye, Tate Modern, Novello Theater and others are easily accessible on foot.
The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast, which is super complete. The location is also very good. Station, bus stop, restaurants and supermarkets, there is everything around. The double room for those who already know the chain was a little disappointing. There was no minibar and the cleanliness was not very good. When I arrived, the towel they left for use was dirty or stained. The cafe girls, Sheraboni and Inna are very helpful, friendly and work seriously. There was a girl with long hair and a dreadlock who was terrible, she pretended all the time that she was working. I even witnessed a discussion within the team. At the reception, the attendant Anissa could be working elsewhere because when you ask her she doesn't even look at your face. Unfriendly and rude. That's not how you serve the public. The guy at the bar, a dark-skinned guy, I don't remember his name, was very nice, friendly and very polite.
Great location, only a 5 min walk from Waterloo Station which has many train lines. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast each morning was great! The room is a decent size for being in a city, but the bed is extremely hard (hence a star off). Overall it’s a good value for the price, in a great location.
