And what g... read more We arrived straight from the beach in Ea (but with a change of clothes in the boot) they couldn't be more accommodating in setting up a table for us. And what great food! The maitre d' who looked after us claimed no English was being modest and talked at length about what was available freshly arrived from the sea we overlooked from the restaurant. She had translated the fish names into English the only one that looked a bit strange was called barnacles but a quick look on the net we agreed they were specifically goose barnacles. Great delicacy in the region same properties as oysters we were told. Unprompted she brought us a few to try too few I think to check out all the alleged attributes of oysters. Terrine de foie de canard followed by a dish of pimientos with the main dish of a turbot for three. Just a great experience. Good puds too. Many thanks

We were looking for something small to eat an... read more If you 're just driving through town, you won 't see the hotel/restaurant as they 're behind some other buildings. We were looking for something small to eat and were directed here by a woman in town. While sitting at the bar, we grabbed a few pastries...then a few more...then something to drink...then a sandwich. We enjoyed it so much, our something small turned into a meal. The woman behind the counter was gracious to help explain what they had available to eat while our family had trouble deciding what they wanted. She also was fun to chat with. We returned a few days later for lunch and ate a family style meal from the menu. We had lentil soup with chorizo, green beans with carrots and potatoes, meat balls, and french fries. For dessert, they offered a cake filled with cream, ice cream, or flan. The rest of the family had the cake but I had the flan. Really loved the flan! And the price for the meal was very affordable.

The restaurant had wonderful views and the outsi... read more Helpful staff in charming small hotel and restaurant. The bar was popular with a variety of pinchos and snacks. The restaurant had wonderful views and the outside terrace too. Parking was easy. Very convenient for the national park and its bird life.

Mondays are usually hard to find a resturant in Basqu... read more This was a very pleasant surprise, even though the location was wrong we finally arrived to the resturant. Mondays are usually hard to find a resturant in Basque region since many small resturants are closed on Monday. The service was great and the menu had an extensive selection of seafood, meats including duck. My merluza ala romana was delicious , the starters of Ensalada Mixta, Fritos and fried green peppers was superb. In final the desserts, were very good. The price was a little higher than your typical menu del dia, but well worth it. The view was also very nice overlooking the Bay of Biscaya. I definitely will eat there again.

The separate dining room from... read more I had low expectations from the photos I saw online and from the first impressions of the restaurant/hotel but I was proven wrong. The separate dining room from the bar area has amazing views and we had amazing food. The crab to share to start was phenomenal. Our friend said her fish was overcooked but our seabass (lubina) was excellent. Enjoy a walk around Ea the nearby village that meets the sea. Very quaint.
