Very enjoyable meal. Staff very friendly and attentive and knowledgable about the menu. The highlight was the lamb gnocchi poutine and the spicy sausages both are appetizers on the menu. Steaks were tender and delicious. An added bonus was the hand cut fries which were perfectly seasoned. We were so full we didn't have any room for dessert. We went to this restaurant for a business dinner. The atmosphere was very peaceful and it is a kosher establishment. However, the prices were extremely high considering the quality of the food. The black cod was tasty but not worth the $40 price tag, as the vegetables and potatoes were only average. After checking the online reviews, schedule a last minute business lunch. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.

Ideal for Father's Day because the portions are large and strong. Airy high ceilings. Music of the type 'Frank Sinatra'. Very pleasant.
Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit on the veranda on a fairly wet June evening, and the ceiling fans provided a nice breeze. We find that most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without getting involved. She noted that it was nice to see children with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as stated and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended.
The service is great. The food was great. The prices were fair. Overall, it was a good experience. Portions are too big.
