The décor and music here is really nice. We came here on a Wednesday night with a Groupon for a four course meal which had excellent value. The performing artists saved the evening. Poor food and expensive meal even with a groupon coupon. 100 dollars for dry chicken, 2 ribs! and overspiced greasy rice...only given two choices! I suggest that you eat an ordinary St Hubert meal and then go for a drink only! The food at this restaurant is good overall, with the chicken not being greasy, which is a positive. The fries and salads are also enjoyable. My colleague had ribs and loved them. The only downside was the slow service in bringing us an additional sauce, which arrived after we had finished our meal. This is something that they should work on improving.
We were close to our hotel and decided to go .. We did not know that it was a show for which they make you pay 10 CAD more starting at 7 pm. We did not stay because that was not what we were looking for. The food, the menu very short and basic, nothing special.
My wife and I, along with another couple, went to Biddle's, or Maison du Jazz for dinner when we were visiting Montreal a couple of weeks ago. We were amazed at all the historical jazz paraphernalia distributed around all its walls. We enjoyed the food and the great jazz performance that evening. We enjoyed it so much, we returned the following night for some Dixieland music. A lot of fun!
What an awesome room. This place has sooo much character.There is really not a bad seat in the house and the jazz is fantastic. The food fits perfect Ribs and Chicken. Also very adequate wine list. Not many rooms like this left ......can't wait to go back
