All the dishes were delicious, but the standout was the beef short ribs! I visited during lunchtime, so it wasn't too crowded.

All dishes from little focaccia amuse bread to Steak lobster entree. Quality is there. Even side dishes are hot fresh. Just one suggestion: serve one better quality steak sauce reduction replace that starchy whatever. If no, kind of waste of that nice piece belle cuisson ribeye ? Again, I can’t believe that piece of not free bread, blow my mind, have to order one for each person?

2nd visit and last one. The food was good, but that’s where it’s stops.Service was missing the smile and we did not feel welcomed. We were sat down on the interior patio section, which was not our choice and noticed a few droplets of water on our seats and table. As soon as it started to rain again, we understood where the water droplets were coming from as they started to fall on us and in our food. It took them at least 5 minutes to offer a new table and the manager never came over to offer his/management excuses or simply make amends for our food that got seasoned with rain water.

Delicious food overall, it was pricey but fair and the atmosphere was rather rustic in a nice way. The waitress did end up forgetting one of our entrées but in the end we were full so it wasn’t so bad. Highly recommend the beef short ribs. Oh, my sweet lord, where do I even begin with the absolute masterpiece that is Grinder restaurant in Montreal? From the moment my precious son and I waltzed through the doors, we were enveloped in an aura of such overwhelming, almost suffocating friendliness from the staff, it was truly a spiritual experience. I mean, these people weren 't just friendly; they were practically beaming, ready to adopt you into their culinary cult with open arms and dazzling smiles. It was almost too much, in the most divine way possible! As you can clearly discern from the accompanying photographic evidence (a testament to our exquisite taste), we embarked on our gastronomic odyssey with the legendary French Onion Soup. And let me tell you, French Onion Soup is a gross understatement. This, my friends, was a cheese soup with a whisper of onion, a glorious, molten, cheesy avalanche that threatened to engulf the entire table. It was a bold, audacious statement in dairy, a challenge to the very concept of too much cheese. My arteries are singing praises! My son, the discerning connoisseur that he is, opted for the fresh oysters as his prelude. And delicious doesn 't even begin to capture the ethereal experience. They were so fresh, so plump, so utterly oystery, they practically shimmied onto his plate with joy. A true testament to the aquatic wonders of this fine establishment. Then, the main event: the hamburger. Oh, the hamburger! I 've traversed the vast culinary landscape of this great nation, and I can unequivocally declare this was one of the best hamburgers I 've had in Canada. It was so incredibly moist, so profoundly delicious, it brought a tear to my eye. Each bite was a journey into a realm of beefy perfection, a symphony of textures and flavors that will haunt my dreams in the most delightful way. And as if that weren 't enough, I, a man of substantial stature and even more substantial appetite, dared to tackle the cheesy baked potato. Cheesy is a polite fiction. This was a potato drowning in cheese, a veritable ocean of molten dairy. It was a glorious, Herculean task, and I must confess, with a heavy heart and a distended belly, that I, the mighty eater, could not conquer it. It was a testament to Grinder 's unwavering commitment to cheese-based excess. Rest assured, my friends, I shall be returning. Grinder is not just a restaurant; it 's a monument to the sublime, the over-the-top, and the gloriously cheesy. Prepare to be embraced by its friendly staff and drown in its dairy delights. You won 't regret it (unless you 're lactose intolerant, in which case, you 're missing out on heaven). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
