Ordered off of Uber Eats on a whim and this ended up being one of the best restaurants I've had in all of Florida. They have yet to miss on any dish. The jerk chicken, bbq chicken, mac and cheese, the carrot cake, stewed chicken, fried shrimp, fried fish, ribs, tropical chicken. All of it so flavorful, beautifully seasoned, and cook to perfection. I was excited to try bc I'm a HUGE fan of Caribbean food, but I was unfortunately disappointed. ?The jerk chicken was super dry tasteless (thank goodness I asked for a side if sauce). I asked for rice peas but got black beans instead. I couldn't eat but 2 of the plantains bc the rest were a a mushy mess. ?I'm all for second chances so maybe I'll get something different nxt time ? Great experience! I ordered Jerk Salmon, the garnish on top (sliced mango, onion and cilantro) taste real good! It gives tropical island flavor.
Everyone is so nice all the food is made fresh tastes so good. The portions are great too! Give this place a try next time youre in avalon!
