I had the exact same experience as the previous reviewer recommended!
After ten days of only eating boiled potatoes and salads in rural Tajikistan, I was ecstatic to finally enjoy some delicious Middle Eastern cuisine at Al Sham in Dushanbe. The hummus Beiruti and babaganoush served with fresh hot pita bread were excellent, as well as the cousin and fresh apple carrot juice. The restaurant is located near the central area and offers a menu with other cold appetizers like stuffed grape leaves, muhammara, and a falafel sandwich that can be made without mayonnaise. The ambiance is beautiful, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing, and they also offer shisha. The staff speaks enough English to accommodate any special requests.
