3.3 / 5 (10 reviews)

Description

The restaurant, also serving as a tourist information center, received mixed reviews about its food quality and service. Some found the seafood options lackluster and heavily fried, while others enjoyed the traditional Newfoundland dishes like Moose mess and cod tongues. The staff was described as accommodating and friendly, reflecting the hospitality of the island. The location overlooking the bay provided a scenic dining experience, although service could be hit or miss depending on the busyness of the staff. Overall, it seemed like a convenient stop for those looking for a quick meal in Twillingate.

This is a very popular place and is a diner rather than a restaurant. The sea food is very good and service friendly

Had our evening meal there yesterday. I had cod and it was very good and fresh. I also had calamari rings. They were good but definitely not the best I have ever had. This was an average tasting meal but it has a great view of the ocean and it has a deck right next to the water that you can dine on.

The restaurant building is cute and overlooks the bay. The people working here are super nice like they are across the island. The food here is just as unhealthy as it is most places across the island. They served some pretty traditional Newfoundland food - Moose mess (like a poutine with stuffing and moose meat) and cod tongues. The vegetarian options are minimal, but salads are available. It is a fast stop for those looking for a quick bite to eat.

My partner and I dined at this restaurant for dinner during our stay in Twillingate. We ordered the caesar salad with shrimp, and it was delicious. The service was a bit mediocre as our server seemed preoccupied chatting with some local friends. The restaurant is conveniently located on the harbor, so I recommend requesting a table with a view.

Great place that offers that amazing Newfoundland hospitality and information. One stop shop. Food. Tourism. Bed and breakfast. Tours. Cod. Great location just up the street from the liquor store.
