Lawrence Barbecue - Durham County

The pulled pork sandwich was tasty, however I'm disappointed that they no longer offer a combo platter. I wanted both pulled pork and brisket. I was told I could get both for $24 separately. Why not serve a combo for a reasonable price?

Outstanding! this was my first time visiting I can assure you it will not be my last, the food was delicious every thing we ordered was delicious what I mean but that is I’ve gone to other places and have enjoyed say the meat but the sides were terrible. Not so here everything was delicious. Outstanding customer service. The staff was friendly, personable, and They engaged with you and you felt like you were actually out with friends more, so just going to purchase FOOD.Byvthe way when you go there make sure you try that apple dumpling. Oh my goodness.

Some of the best BBQ around! We had the pulled pork sandwich and the chicken special. Both were 100% on point and would happily order again. The fries were tasty and everything was hot and juicy. The “4” is due to the usage of those little packets of plastic spoon/knife/fork which is so very wasteful and I ordered tea and it came in that plastic bottle. Also, TBH I know they need to make a profit but $14 for a sandwich with no side or drink is a bit much for me.

Overall not worth the money. I paid about $25 per person if you get a side and a drink. Let’s start with the bad: the broccoli ceaser is just broccoli with ceasar dressing and croutons for $3-8 which is a bit silly. The brisket was dry, and the chicken sandwich had NO crisp.Edit: tried the owners recommendation, and went to cookout. Interestingly enough, it does taste better! Staff at Lawrence is great, owner seems like he’s in the wrong industry.For the good; the pulled pork was delicious, their bbq sauces are fantastic, and the service and seating is good and clean.Ultimately, I wouldn’t come back unless all I wanted was pulled pork. If the prices were 12-17 per person I would have far fewer complaints.

I sell shipping containers nationwide and to see how this was converted to a eatery and the food at Lawrence was absolutely delicious 70.00 bucks for lunch but worth it...
