the white horse has an excellent room that offers a lot of space at the pub for a buffet sitting and plenty of space. the buffet was well presented for our funeral wake. the buffet food was plentiful and good quality with tea and coffee on tap. all items were beautifully marked with a great selection for each taste. the bar is easy to reach with tables and seating areas that are scattered around the bar, making the o... What Bridget White doesn't like about White Horse:
Landlord was rude and needs to have lessons in customer service. I would like to say that the state of the toilets was disgusting and if they think that is an acceptable level of cleanliness in an area that the public can see I would hate think what the area's are like that we don't see !! Avoid this pub !! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
A decent enough pub for drinking. Guinness Aspell cider on tap. Nice beer garden at the back which is an evening suntrap. Opens at 6.30pm shuts at 9.30pm on a Thursday, not sure about the rest of the week.
Did not mention anywhere the place need to be booked.turned away as they having 20 people coming in!!
I pity the locals of Eaton Bray that all they have is this landlord to run their otherwise delightful pub. Hopefully he will respond to this and explain why, when a visitor offers to help out the struggling bar person, by changing his order, that the Landlord now wants to be all Billy Big Balls and throw that customer out for wasting beer! Maybe if he kept his beer better his bar staff wouldn't struggle so much. I was surprised when friends refused to come here because of the staff... Now I realise it is not because of the staff, but because of the Landlord. This is obviously not a flash in the pan. Congratulations The White Horse, you have earned my first Google one star review.
This charming village pub offers a nice selection of straightforward dishes. I enjoyed the Sunday roast, which was well-prepared, featuring crispy vegetables that were cooked just right. They were also accommodating in providing a smaller portion for lighter appetites. The cost per person is around £20–30. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.
Charming historic pub. Price range per person: £1–10. Atmosphere: 4/5.
