great home cooked food! I had the lamb that was tender and tasty. others in our group had the burger and carbonara and they all enjoyed their dinner immense. the starters were great and the chili on the garnels and cancer cocktail was just right. I recommend the brot and butter pudding for the desert, but the citrus tarts and crumbs were also amazing. in any case it must try! View all feedback.

Yesterday, we went to Strange Cerls for a birthday meal and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The bar staff were friendly and courteous, the atmosphere was wonderful, and it was nice to see so many children playing outside. We were a party of 9 and despite thinking it was just Lewis and Jo cooking, the dinner service was smooth. The rabbit dish with bacon bits and a hawn jus was delicious, and the special vegan Welsh rarebits that we ordered off-menu were equally enjoyable. We have already booked our Christmas dinner there to avoid the rush. It is clear that Lewis and Jo put a lot of love into their fantastic menus, and we look forward to becoming regular customers. Thank you. - Young
Food review: This morning, I had breakfast at Oddfellows Arms. I ordered the eggs royale (eggs benedict with smoked salmon instead of ham). The hollandaise sauce was light and not fatty, with just a hint of tarragon which added a unique flavor to the dish. The eggs were cooked perfectly, creamy but not too runny, and the spinach was fresh. As a pilot who eats all over the world, I can say that this meal was just as good as any I've had. I also tried some Irish black pudding, which was the best I've ever had. It was boiled with a crispy crust, seasoned perfectly, and tasted like a rich roast chicken stuffing rather than the bland discs you sometimes get. Overall, a great start to my morning at the pub.
Stopped here with a small coach load of football supporters on the way to a match at Watford. We were made very welcome and served to a nice range of beers, lagers and ciders. Prices weren't bad for the area. We were also told they could...do food for us if we gave them advance notice for future reference . Lovely staff.
Excellent Sunday lunch. My wife was particularly impressed with the beef while I had salmon. One of my favourite mushroom starters and chocolate desert to finish. Good atmosphere.
