Easily accessible shop, entry points from main street, as well as main shopping center car-park. Menu has a good selection of hot foods, as well as salads, burgers, and sandwiches. Clean shop, seating and tables inside, good selection of drinks and condiments. Friendly staff, food prepared when ordered, didn't have to wait too long. Our meal was scrumptious, cooked to perfection, squid was tender and tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Squidlips Fish & Chips:
We ordered fish and chips and some squid. The fish was greasy and tasted like it had been frozen. Nothing about the meal was close to being tasty . The chips were very average also. Could not eat all of the meal it was so bad. They advertise that they are rated in the top five for fish no chips . Love to know what ranking that is actually from!!! Never ever go back. The squid and chips ordered. absolutely amazing. and an additional bonus was in the position to see the gentleman at work and to see that he used a separate frit.
We went after squidlips on our januar 2022 vacation. my man who is zöliakie could enjoy hot chips. they also make grilled fish, but he was just happy to enjoy a chip demolition with his gf brot. they can really eat a lot of time so we decided to go to lunchtime when it was calmer. the owner taught a new person and I heard him say when we have gluten-free, we need to use a seperate bowl and tongs that felt confident that they understood crosscontamination. then we went down to the front and enjoyed our meal.
Offer fried fish but seem very arrogant about having to offer GF options. When waiter asked chef he appeared to roll eyes and be not happy that we were present. Said that there is flour all over kitchen, they have a GF fryer but can not guarantee it is GF. Chips are GF but again can not guarantee it will be GF after cooking. Would recommend avoiding from our experience.
The staff were knowledgeable about coeliac disease. We have a very sensitive coeliac family and we were able to enjoy grilled barramundi, chips, and calamari without experiencing any negative reactions.
I ordered the squid and chips, and it was absolutely fantastic. A great surprise was being able to watch the chef in action, using a separate fryer.
