Kfc - Dunnellon
Kfc
Description
A neighborhood fast‑food chicken spot with notably tasty fried chicken, bowls, pot pie and sandwiches, plus friendly, efficient staff and fast drive‑thru service. Praise for dedicated employees and a generous grilled selection contrasts with persistent inconsistencies: underdone biscuits, occasional missing sides or poor substitutions, intermittent dine‑in closures with inadequate signage, and awkward group‑order handling. Expect quick, pleasant service often, but be prepared for hit‑or‑miss quality and operational lapses.

I can almost overlook finding hair in my chicken breast, but no gravy on my mashed potatoes is unacceptable! This has to be the worst KFC I keep coming back to, simply because I’m not willing to drive 30 minutes to the next closest location. Please hire more competent staff instead of just anyone who can fill in! Absolutely unbelievable.
The KFC menu at this location can be hit or miss. Sometimes the food is quite good, but other times it’s disappointing. The biscuits are consistently terrible—hard on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I wish there were more options available.
The cashier, Ashley, is incredibly friendly and has a remarkable attitude. Her dedication to customer service is impressive. Since 2015, she has genuinely excelled in her position. Well done, Ashley!
I have just changed my rating from four stars to one, and I will never return to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone. I am completely shocked by the owner's actions. When they ran out of one type of chicken for a bowl that was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and corn, they chose to replace it with just three chicken fingers—without any potatoes! My daughter ordered from there, and instead of properly substituting the missing chicken in her bowl, they only gave her the chicken and left out the mashed potatoes and any of the other items that were supposed to be included. This is utterly ridiculous and a poor way to run a business. I hope others realize that this owner does not appreciate your patronage.
If you’re going to keep the dining room closed during the day, please post a notice on the door or outside. I had just unloaded my mother-in-law's walker, passed an employee outside, and walked into the lobby, only to discover a small sign that said dine-in service was unavailable. The sign was carelessly taped to an old Covid barrier. Who still does that? I won't be coming back to this restaurant.
