This restaurant genuinely belongs in the top 5 ofDunkirk. The food reflects all the best qualities of northern France: conviviality, openness, simple but perfect pleasures, all focussed on the ever present sea and its bountiful treasure. What could be more romantic than a chef who serves beautifully cooked fish caught by her father in his fishing boat? The menu is exquisite: as a starter I was offered scallops, served in a cognac, cream and foie gras sauce. A wonderful combination of salty sweet and earthiness. As an entree I had monkish served on a chickpea velouté with a pretty decoration of pink beetroot foam, a beautiful finely chopped tomato salad olive oil combination. The nuttyness of the chickpeas with bursts of fresh tomato and olive oil balancing the monkfish. If you really love to eat fresh fish and food cooked with passion, this is the place. Anyone who has experienced the really pedestrian offerings from Soubise et al. same old poorly served production line etc. Give this place a try.
This day is exellent! foie gras, fisherman's pot, tagliatelle jacques, shrimp croquettes. Perfect kitchen! beautiful place, nice table with real towels and towels, but, not swollen. daisy tabeling the cook a seasonal fish specialist!
