What Dgn1010 dislikes about Seed:
Great to see a new local business do so well, but customer service from owner on the till the day I visited was seriously lacking. No friendliness whatsoever. Great idea for healthy food but overpriced for the breakfast I got. View all feedback.
If you are a fan of smoothies, acai bowls, etc., you must visit this place right away. I ordered a plain acai bowl for takeout and it was delicious. The salads were also very tasty. I highly recommend coming to Seed.
I pre-ordered my food through their app and arranged to pick it up at 4pm. However, when I arrived, they had not started preparing my order despite it being placed well in advance. It took them 15 minutes to make my two bowls, with a lot of time wasted on figuring out the ingredients and checking the ticket multiple times. Unfortunately, when I received my order, I realized that several ingredients were missing. Additionally, the drink I had ordered was not available in the fridge, causing further delay as they retrieved it. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and the accuracy of my order, and I would not choose to dine here again.
We had heard a lot about Seeds, so when we were in the area (Dungannon) we decided to visit. It was an impromptu decision, so we had not looked at the menu beforehand. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. Since we were unsure about the menu, we chose the Katsu chicken and the Seeds satay bowl. When our food arrived, there was an abundance of spinach leaves on the plate and a mushy substance covered in seeds, which was just okay. Perhaps a little less spinach would have been better. Honestly, we were not sure what all the hype was about. We finished our meal and left. It was only after seeing these pictures that we realized our dishes looked completely different from what was advertised. We are now left wondering if this is the presentation we should have received.
Gorgeous selection of salads and burritos. Love their coffee. Great for sit in or takeaway. My favourite place to go!
The Chronicles of a Burrito Connoisseur o̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶u̶r Location: SEED, Dungannon The Healthy Burrito Once again, I took advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. I had heard good things about this place and so decided to kill 2 birds with one stone by having my newborn daughter meet her aunt for the 1st time and of course try out Seed. Glancing up at the board for the choice of food there was a split second where I thought about choosing something else, but of course it had to be a burrito, wrap and all. I had been recommended to try the duck burrito and so on this occasion I went for something different and indeed chose their OH MY, DUCK burrito, which consisted of crispy shredded duck (sidenote: as they started to slide the wrap across the counter after making my meat choice I told them to double up on the meat and secure a hefty meat portion). Other fillings consisted of Spiced Noodles, Purple Cabbage, Spinach, Sesame seeds and their condiment of choice was Sticky Hoisin Sauce. I must say overall this was an amazing burrito, something different to the norm and oozed with flavour. It was washed down with a healthy shake and as a snack I purchased 3 of their protein balls. After letting the food digest for about 15 minutes and again looking to take advantage of the eat to help out scheme I decided to get an acai bowl as a dessert to wash it all down. Overall I 'd rate this burrito a solid 9 out of 10. One of a kind and a welcome addition to Northern Ireland.
