Con Sabor Mexican - Dunedin

The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious, and the server was pleasant. However, the atmosphere left much to be desired, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. While it’s clean, it lacks charm and feels quite bare-bones. During our visit, the restaurant played loud audio from a Spanish football game, even though no one seemed to be watching. Nearby, a family was watching a cartoon on their phones at an equally loud volume. This created a chaotic and unpleasant dining experience. Additionally, the bright LED tube lights added to the discomfort, constantly flashing and making it hard to relax. I’d rate it 3 stars: the food was good, but I prefer a quieter ambiance with background music and a more considerate environment regarding phone noises.

We decided to try this restaurant because it seemed like a more authentic Mexican place. Right from the start, I was unsure about the chips; they appeared to be double and triple folded before frying, making them a bit thicker than I prefer. However, the salsa was decent, and the guacamole was quite good, if a bit different from what I expected. I ordered the chili relleno, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My husband had the steak street tacos, and he thought they were solid as well. Overall, I believe everyone enjoyed their meals, and the prices were reasonable.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and it exceeded my expectations. I ordered the daily special, which was carnitas street tacos, along with a drink. The pork was plentiful and packed with flavor, topped with onions and cilantro. The customer service was excellent; the staff greeted me with smiles and were very accommodating. I wish more places demonstrated such a high level of customer care. I will definitely be returning!

Absolutely fantastic! Con Sabor translates to "with flavor," and that's a perfect way to describe this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. The server was incredibly friendly and patiently encouraged my attempts to speak Spanish. My tacos were amazing—soft flour tortillas with all the right fillings. My family agreed wholeheartedly. We'll definitely be coming back here often. It's not fancy at all, but if you're looking for a quick bite, this is the perfect spot.

This restaurant offers a truly authentic and flavorful experience, complemented by excellent service! The Gordita is outstanding, and the marinated jalapeños, carrots, and onions are simply amazing!
