Great meal, good service, ambiance fairly good staff attentive without being overly so. Quality of food very good. One point you need to sort out. In a restaurant like yours who charges the prices you do you cannot serve cheese and biscuits like that! You are located in Scotland, no shortage of good quality cheeses, biscuits even garnish be honest you can do better than that. Once again like to stress this is a good place to eat but chef please get a grip of the cheese and biscuits!

Being a kind... read more Great service, with a smile and flourish. I went here for a birthday dinner, and the courses themselves were reasonably sized, and extremely tasty. Being a kind of fine-dining restaurant there is always a kind of twist on what you're served, and it's amazing what they come up with. Their bread was freshly baked and still warm when served, and in between courses they brought small extras out for us to enjoy. The venue is larger inside than it initially seems, and has a very close, personal atmosphere. Wonderful, if a little pricey.

Should... read more Not great, staff need to communicate better so that items and food arrive at the table together. Location is good and the facilities are well maintained. Should you visit? Maybe not now as they have just reopened, once the staff have sharpened up the delivery of a good service, then yes. For now a £180 for a taster meal and wine for 2 over 3 hours, well the service needs to be slick, knowledgeable and attentive. A lot of work to be done to get to that stage.

Couldn’t fault a single thing during the whole Menu we had the 8 course tasting menu everything was fabulous!! Each time a plate came out we were “wow” then the next would follow and again we were “wow”! The staff were really lovely too! It was my birthday and had also received a surprise proposal just before we arrived and the staff made us feel very special! Prosecco and congratulations written on the plate was a lovely touch which was very much appreciated!
