Wee John is a legend! He makes the best dishes in town. The pies, the soup, and, of course, the coffee are all fantastic!

**Hidden Gem in Dundee: The Auld Tram** Nestled in an old tram, The Auld Tram serves up exceptional sandwiches that have garnered a loyal following. Highlights include the exquisite Ham Hock Tramwich, which combines tender ham with mustard mayonnaise and sweet cabbage dressing, all encased in fresh, fluffy bread. Diners praise the generous fillings and overall quality, elevating these creations far beyond typical fast fare. Complementing the sandwiches, the café’s hot chocolate and delicious cakes are must-tries. While the cash-only policy might deter some, the friendly staff and warm atmosphere make any visit delightful. Whether for takeout or a cozy sit-down, it’s a must-visit dining spot in Dundee.

This restaurant offers excellent sandwiches that are generously filled, made with beautiful bread, and they're truly delicious. The coffee is great as well. The prices are quite reasonable, but the fact that they only accept cash could be a drawback for their business in 2022.
I've been enjoying sandwiches from this place for the past 9 years, along with the occasional soup when I'm in Dundee. I've tried just about the entire menu, and I've never had a bad sandwich, soup, cake, or coffee here. The sandwiches are excellent and definitely a step up from pre-packaged ones. John and the team (I apologize for not remembering the names of the others) are fantastic. Great work as always, Youngs!
After reading the reviews, I decided to check it out for myself, and I'm glad I did. The sandwiches are fantastic, and the cake is delicious as well. If you're in Dundee, it's definitely worth a visit!
That must be my favorite place to take away a coffee. the personal is always friendly and the coffee is actually hot! and its only place I found that butterscotch sirup has

But switch the grape with salty, tender ham chunks and the cheese with a delicious mustard mayonnaise topped with a sweet cabbage dressing. And then switch Remy with two plump loaves of white bread and you’ve got yourself a perfect sandwich. This is truly the best sandwich in Dundee, and might I say it, the entirety of Scotland. As the great Terminator once said, “I’ll be back”
