visited here with my family and we all had lunch. The food was very good the only let down was the potatoes, they were bland and tasteless. The staff were friendly and efficient (maybe a little too quick to clear the table). the place itself...is very clean and fresh looking and the prices are moderate. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about River Cafe:
Called in here a few days ago for a tea and coffee. We skipped the carvery and salad bar to go straight to the till to order our beverages. No greeting from the girl on the till, placed my order, paid (dearer than a ...hotel) and was told to take a seat.. order will be brought to us. We waiting over minutes for one tea and a coffee. It's a shame that this Cafe sits in a not so popular part of the Marshes, i.e., it's not in the main shopping mall; I did not know it was there until my wife pointed it out to me. A beautiful Cafe with very attentive staff, and a wonderful range of food. The cake selection was heavenly and portion sizes big!! Pop in, the next time you're in. Sorry Costa, River Cafe wins, hands down.
Did not know this place existed. A friend took me there and I just loved it. Will go back again and again. Great good and service.
