Doyle - Duncannon

The cheese steak sandwich was GREAT! My husband's burger, not so much! If it's called "Doyle Burger", it should be a nice, harder, Sirloin and it wasn't just a Patty. They are just started so they need a competent waitress, as the cook did everything, serving, cooking. We give them more time to get it together and we will be back.

I'm really excited to see the finished results of all the remodeling the new owner is doing I have never met such a down to earth, generous and kind man such as Mr. Don Failor and his beautiful staff...Kim and Wendy make you feel so welcome and comfortable!! I also got to meet the really sweet bartender, who is the jack of many trades Not to forget the beautiful housekeeper who gave me encouragement and some love while I awaited my meeting and the man vacuuming was so kind as well! I can't wait to stay here one day, I heard there is a room with a hot tub I can't wait to try out!!

I ordered a flat bread bed that was interesting it wasn't bad but I wouldn't Order it again. I felt like our French fries were a little overcooked and they only sell half pound hamburgers Which is a lot of hamburger, so I think Maybe they will Expand their menu once they are little more established. Overall it was pretty good

I stayed at the DOYLE for 2 nights while out on a Section Hike. I had heard some stories about how bad things were prior to the current owner, wires hanging out of the ceiling, gas pipes, dirty bathrooms etc. So when I was going to be passing through Duncannon, I was nervous about stating here but I really wanted to sleep in a bed as opposed to a Hostel Bunk. I am really glad I chose the Doyle Hotel! The room was clean, the Shared Bathroom was also clean and updated. The Bar/Restaurant has some room for improvement but i believe those improvements are forthcoming. The Staff was helpful, friendly and proud to be there! I recommend the Doyle! I will stay here again!
