Caffrey's Of Batterstown - Dunboyne

We were a large group so the service was a bit slow, as we had expected when booking. Some of our party enjoyed delicious and plentiful meals, including carvery beef and turkey. However, others were disappointed with their meals, such as fish and chips that spilled onto the plate and lacked vegetables for the price. Overall, portion sizes were inconsistent and the quality of the meals varied. While the service staff was friendly and helpful, there are areas that could be improved to enhance the dining experience. We may return in the future, but probably not with a large group.

The prices felt expensive compared to the limited options, particularly for children who were only served 3 chicken nuggets with fries and no vegetables. Although the staff were friendly and accommodating, there are some small changes that could improve the overall dining experience. While we may come back on our own, we probably won't bring a big group again.

I recently stopped by this restaurant for a drink at the bar and was shocked to find out that I was charged €10 for a glass of Chardonnay!! A four-star hotel in Co. Meath only charges €8.50/€9.00 for a similar drink. The restaurant prices were also quite steep. I don't plan on coming back here in the future.

We recently held a family reunion at Caffrey's and it was a fantastic experience. With a party of 32, Caffrey's rose to the occasion and provided amazing service. Everyone received their meals simultaneously, and the food was delightful. We greatly appreciated their flexibility in giving us a wonderful lunch.

However, others were disappointed with their meals. One guest received only fish and chips that spilled onto the plate, lacking any vegetables. Another guest received a small portion of tough meat and a small potato. The portions were inconsistent and the prices were reasonable for a satisfying lunch or dinner. It was disappointing to see that the children's meals only included chicken nuggets and chips without any vegetables. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there are areas for improvement to enhance the overall dining experience. We may return, but next time we will choose smaller groups.
