I expected very average American versions of Mexican food, as tend to be the case with chains. I was surprisingly very satisfied! What blackriverwoman doesn't like about Los Agaves:
when we were seated, a Mexian girl worker seemed hostile toward our nice white hostess. the two sides I ordered were the Mexican street corn and refried beans. the Mexican street corn I am used to is a full corn on the Cobb coated with mayonnaise, cheese, and generous squiggles of aioli. what I got was a 2 inch corn on the Cobb with a small squiggle of aioli on one side. the refried beans were in a small ceramic cont... What a great find! Travel thru to Michigan and needed a fast good meal. The fish tacos were as good as anyone I had in Mexico! Very authentic fried beans. The margaritas will surely be satisfied. Try the fucking Guac! Salsa was perfect! This isn't a nice place, but don't let it hold you back.
Good service and good food! This is a family lover, we try to go every time we get back to WV. The menu has many options, and the outdoor terrace is nice to sit in summer

One of the best guacamole around. And the staff is so pleasant and fun to be around.
