We booked well in advance with a large family for Sunday for 7 people. We chose the place because we had a very good experience with the restaurant in Dunabogdány a long time ago, and we hoped that they would continue what was started in Szentendre. The food was ok, our only regret is that in the end we couldn't eat trout with truffles because it wasn't available at the time (I'll come back to this later). We remember the staff from the Bogdány era as a kind and professional team. But now we are very disappointed. Taking food was lengthy and chaotic; it was that they came back to us several times to clarify what we asked for. This is acceptable at first, but it is less so that the atmosphere was extremely frustrated, our guests were met with constant impatience and grimaces with every order. If we could, we wouldn't pay a service fee, but we didn't have that option, did we? Unfortunately, we noticed after payment that the restaurant also managed to invoice the extra price for the originally ordered truffle trout, for which we also had to pay a service fee. I don't think we will ever go back.

However, compared to previous evaluations, the selection is much smaller, which was further narrowed down by the fact that the griddle was not working when we were there, so you could only order oil-fried and smoked trout. Previously (according to the descriptions and the website) there were seasonal soups, but these are no longer available, and not all of the soups on the menu were available. The wine selection is also not what we found on the website. Overall, therefore, the place was disappointing. We ate smoked and walnut trout, they were delicious, although we have eaten better from this genre. The soups served (pork soup and fish soup) were probably made from concentrate, not fresh ingredients. The waiters are nice and courteous, but they don't speak English. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. We are unlikely to return.
